Bleeding during pregnancy, especially in the first trimester, is quite common for some pregnant women. Usually this condition is nothing to worry about, because bleeding early in pregnancy may indicate implantation or the attachment of an embryo (future fetus) to the uterine wall.

However, bleeding during pregnancy can also be a sign of a serious condition that can harm the health of the mother and the fetus, especially if the bleeding doesn't stop or is accompanied by severe pain in the uterus.
